Located on the south end of Big Spring, Comanche Trail Park is home to the spring that gave the city its name. The park is enjoyed by residents and visitors and consists of 400 acres with a lake and community center. 

Features include a 6,900 seat limestone amphitheater, an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, baseball fields, disc golf, playgrounds, aquatic center, pavilions, fishing, and hike, bike, and nature trails. The park also hosts a festival of lights during the Christmas season.

Tucked away against the hills of South Big Spring, this 18-hole course features 6,576 yards of golf and a driving range, pro shop, and snack bar. It is the only rolling hills golf course in West Texas.

On the outskirts of town, you’ll find Big Spring State Park. Constructed in 1934-35 by the CCC, the day-use park encompasses 382 acres of arid plains terrain and breathtaking views from the park’s 200-ft bluff. Amenities include several hike and bike trails, a pavilion, picnicking, and a playground.
