Big Spring ISD consists of 1 Pre-K, 4 Elementary Schools, and 1 each for Intermediate, Junior High, High School, and a Head Start campus.

Southwest college for the deaf

Howard College

As a leader in education, Howard College builds communities through quality, innovative education for lifelong learning. The college offers associate degrees, transfer, 

CTE, and health care programs, teacher certifications, workforce training, and continuing education.

SouthWest College for the Deaf

Located at Howard College, SWCD is the country’s only self-contained community college educational environment serving deaf and hard-of-hearing students. It offers a variety of programs ranging from associate degrees and transfer programs to CTE and health professions. 

Midland College

Midland College prepares and inspires students and strengthens the community through educational leadership and collaboration. The college offers degree and certificate programs, and dual credits, with programs ranging from STEM and the arts to energy and health care.

Odessa College

Since 1946, Odessa College has been an integral part of educating West Texans. OC offers more than 120 Associate and Certificate Degree programs in the Arts and Sciences, as well as Career and Technical. OC also serves business and industry through customized training and continuing education.

University of Texas of the Permian Basin

UTPB serves a diverse community of students with more than 50 in-demand undergraduate, graduate, and online programs. The university is in the top five Texas public universities for employment after graduation. 

Texas Tech University

Located 109 miles north of Big Spring in Lubbock, Texas Tech is a growing and thriving academic and research community with a dynamic campus culture. The tier one university offers more than 150 undergraduate degrees, 100 graduate degrees, and 50 doctoral degrees.
